I am so completely overwhelmed when I think about updating this time. My life has been packed full of adventure and fellowship and blessing that it seems impossible to convey to you in words or even pictures what the last couple of months have been like. To be honest, I haven't even sorted it all out myself yet...but I know if I don't get something written here soon, those memories will be engulfed in the next round of adventure, and I'll never share them with you, so here goes...

July 13 - same year as above...

So the next round of adventures came and went before I could post anything else. Now we have more looming in the near future...so I am BOUND AND DETERMINED to get something posted today!!!! Hold me to that!!! (That's so easy for me to say since you all won't even see this unless I get it posted!!!) Here goes...

In April we made our trek up to Wisconsin and had a wonderful weekend of fellowship, music and teaching.

Soon after we got home, we had an amazingly enjoyable time playing at an RV rally in Shawnee, OK. The next day John, Caleb and I left for Wright City, Missouri...

For those of you who don't know, John has developed an interest in film making, and God has provided some really neat opportunities for him to get some hands-on experience in that field. The first project was in Missouri with two very special sisters, Danielle and Mandy Moody. I could go on and on about the film and the people behind it, but not if I'm really going to get this posted, so instead I'll send you to their website for more information - www.dancingwithangelsmovie.net. I love to talk about it, though, so if you want more particulars about the incredible almost two weeks that we spent at their house just ask me!!! It was an amazing mix of fellowship and working together to complete a God-glorifying film. We saw the Father's hand move to help the girls and all of us along in such awesome ways, and I think we all came away from that experience more sure of Yahweh's love and providence than ever. He provided everything we needed and more, and when difficulties arose, we learned over and over that we could turn to Him in prayer and He would take care of everything. All we had to do was trust. Plus...we had a lot of fun and made some great new friends!!!

The three directors ~ Mandy, John and Danielle

Now, let me introduce you to:
The Logan Family
The Tall Ones: Caleb Naylor, Paul Hunt
The Ladies: Mandy Moody, JoAnn Dunk, Holly Osborne, Danielle Moody, Amy Schuknecht
The Trouble Makers (they really weren't!!!): Nick Osborne, Jonathan Schuknecht, David Schuknecht

Cast plus Crew

Collyn, Elisa and Carolyn Hunt were invaluable crew members, not to mention great fun and sweet sisters!!!

Holly plays Shannon Logan in the movie

Mandy did an incredible job as script writer, director, organizer, continuity gal, and head of make-up and wardrobe.

And I was just so happy to be there!!!

The Warren County Ambulance Service was amazingly helpful...and filming that scene was really exciting and fun - but we were all thankful in the midst of it to know that no one was in need of medical attention!!!

Danielle and Caleb did some great online updates while we were filming. You can access those by clicking on this link - http://www.cmforums.org/viewtopic.php?t=285

Filming outside of the "Logan's" house. John was the camera man for the project, as well as 1/3 director.

John even shot a scene from the porch roof, with a very cute observer, Natalie, watching his every move.

You would never have guessed that we hadn't even met before we showed up at their house in early May...we never felt like strangers...and it wasn't all work - this is one night we went out for ice cream!!!

The day we filmed at the hospital - St. Joseph's gave us a whole wing of ICU to use for the entire day - a St. Louis film crew came out and interviewed Mandy and Danielle...they made the 9 o'clock news that evening!!!

We met - or found - new friends where ever we went!!!

At the cast party after filming was finished was so much fun!!! We visited with our new and wonderful friends, ate delicious food, and played volleyball.

Mr. Hunt (Mike Logan in the film) was a talented host and hot-dog roaster!!!

Group picture at the Cast Party - Thank you, Hunt Family!!!

It was a bit hard to say goodbye to the girls and their Dad - David Carter...so we stalled and took some pictures.

Back at home, the family was our support group and eagerly awaited daily updates on our progress.

And Tuesday Night Volleyball continued.

Girls against guys???

We were home for a couple of short days before John and I were loading up for our next movie making adventure - this time in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Go to http://www.dcfm.blogspot.com/ for a great account and more pictures from our time there. DCFM - or Dallas Christian FilmMakers - is the group that John is vice-president of. He went as assistant director of photography for this project. I was asked to be dictator - a role that I know being the oldest girl in a family of 9 has suited me perfectly for, even if I don't know a thing about film- making!!! However, I was quite daunted when I found my official title was assistant director - yikes!!! I loved every minute of it...it was a great group of people who were very gifted and striving to use those talents to glorify God. I hope to never forget the night we were all sitting in the ranch house after a soggy day of filming and Evan - James in the movie, president of DCFM, composer on his own - got a far away look in his eyes and then started waving his hand in the air, conducting an unseen orchestra. He went to his computer and soon had James's theme ready for us to listen to. Meanwhile, John-Clay - our most excellent and cheerful DP - was in a corner with his computer doing some editing...and so excited with what was happening on his screen. Matthew was an incredible director - and an outstanding young man, and I loved working with him. Goodness - this is making me miss you guys!!! I'll stop now - even though there is so much to say - and go to visuals...

Our second day of filming. And yes, God cared about continuity and sent plenty of rain so that our shots could stay consistent, right John-Clay!!!

Kayleen was in charge of BTS - behind the scenes...John, John-Clay and Matthew scouting locations.

There was an old abandoned house on the ranch that we thought we used in a couple of scenes. We had quite the work crew!!!

Kayleen and I - with our respective tools of trade. What a lovely friend I've made!!!

John was in charge of rigging up this zip line over the creek for filming purposes...fun, fun

This was the group shot right after the final scene was shot. The tall man in the back is Eddie Hicks - with his wife, Leslie, right next to him. They were generous enough to let us film on their ranch, stay in the house there, give us some beef, help whenever we needed it, and Mr. Hicks even agreed to act in the movie!!! What a God-send. Mrs. West is standing in front, and made all the meals for the whole group for the whole week - I admire her greatly. But there are wonderful stories of service, selflessness, love, creativity and fun behind each face here. And all for the service of our Lord!!!

You've probably all heard about the rain we've been getting? Well, it started in May and we are still soggy around here...

This is our little creek that was completely dry all of last summer - this year is...different!!!

It's frustrating to think of all the stories and testimonies of God's love and mercy I am leaving out, all the evidence of His faithfulness and mercy. All the blessings of friendship and good times. But I know that if I even tried to detail that, I would never get this done. So this is all for now. Maybe next time I can tell you a little about John and Kaleah's beautiful wedding, our time re-shooting in Missouri, Sarah and the boys going to California for Mandy Dortignac's wedding, the delightful time of fellowship we had with Wisdom's Gate....but not now. We have some more recording to do before we finish up our up and coming CD. I also have to start preparing for our trip to Shaina's wedding in Tennessee next week, and Colorado a couple days after we get home from that. Then there are trips to Indiana and Illinois to plan, a couple of movie premiers and then screenings for the movies, the film festival in San Antonio in October...would you all please pray for us if you think of it? We would appreciate it!!!

Until next time, may God bless and hold you in the palm of His hand.

Love,
